The PC18DS is capable of sanding up to 10,500 orbits per minute for fast and smooth sanding applications, including surface preparation, smoothing seams, removing paint, removing rust, and corner sanding. It features a large, 19-square-inch hook-and-loop platen for fast stock removal.  The platen is tapered for sanding in corners and tight spaces, and has a detachable detail finger designed for small surface applications. The overmolded, contoured grip area offers comfort and control during use. For dust management, the detail sander has a detachable dust port for use with a vacuum hose. The on/off switch also is dust sealed for durability.
